Filmmaking

Swimming exists in the space between life and breath

Summary: Swimming: A few mornings of rest and healing is exactly that. A portrait of a slice of time I was lucky enough to spend in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, healing, breathing, and thinking. While in this space, I focused on listening. Listening to the trees and the water. Hearing the sun wake the woods and breathing it all in. Then, losing these senses underwater. Losing the burdens. Letting go of who I had been. Listening to what could come in the future.

I brought my camera to one of the many sunrises, spent swimming, and watched the sun pour gold over the pines. The film is a product of gratitude towards this place and time. The short was directed, shot, and scored by me.
