was born in the Hill Country of Texas around Enchanted Rock.
As a child Owen spent his time playing outside in this suburb absorbing the Prairies and Wetlands of Southern Wisconsin. He cites his first time playing in snow as a formative experience.
Later Owen would attend a summer camp in Northern Wisconsin focused on building outdoor leadership skills. There he fell in love with the outdoors and the Northwoods of Wisconsin. In 2013 he had an accident in which he broke his leg and arm rendering himself temporarily immobile and brought on an early period of silence and self reflection.
In High School he would transfer to a local public charter which expanded his view of life and the world. He found himself particularly enraptured with his world religion and history classes. He spent a significant amount of time studying Frank Lloyd Wright and spending time at his former home and studio Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin.
In his Junior Year he would spend time at Conserve School, a semester program focused on environmental science and outdoor education. The campus was located adjacent to the Sylvania Wilderness Area in Northern Michigan, allowing him to live and study in the Northwoods he loved.
Owen now lives in New York City and studies at Parsons School of Design. His body of work has been described as dreamlike and focuses on the human relation with nature, the elements, archetypes, higher purpose, Generation Z, the modern condition, and American decay.
